Description: Omega’s Speedmaster “Moon Watch” chronograph is arguably the perfect watch design. As desirable as it is today, almost unchanged, as at its original release decades ago. Every watch collector should have one.
Soon after the watch was used in multiple NASA space missions, including on the Apollo 11 moon landing, Omega added an inscription about this certification to the case back. This piece is an outstanding example of the briefly produced “straight writing” version of this inscription before both lines of text circled the perimeter of the case. The limited production of this version makes it super desirable.
The piece offered here has recently been overhauled completely by its fastidious-collector last owner, including servicing of the movement and a meticulous, very light buff. The watch presents as well as any piece of its age can. It has a tight original bracelet with all links, which will easily fit larger wrists. The crystal is as new, and the face and hands are crisp, and very clean.
A truly collectors grade Speedmaster Moon Watch.
